Las Vegas, Nevada (AP) VillaSport is about at last getting its first taste of the world.
The luxury fashion boutique and luxury jewelry store, which was set up in the Venetian in Las Venetas last year, announced Thursday it is opening its first Las Vegas store.
VillaSport, which has been a fixture of the Las Vegas tourist market since 2015, plans to open a second store in 2019, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman said.
The opening of the second store is an early step toward opening more stores throughout the city.
VillasSport is among several luxury boutiques that have opened in recent years in Las Veras new neighborhood, including P.T. Barnum, Gucci, Guerrillas Jewelry and more.
Las Vegas Mayor Joe Garcia says Las Vegas has more than enough retail space to cater to the population of 1.2 million, including more than a million people living in poverty, and says more retailers will open in the future.
