Two boys who went missing in Lake Villa last week have been found safe, the family’s brother said on Sunday.
A group of young people from the village were on a day trip to visit relatives in Pune, about 130km (60 miles) north of Mumbai, when they were last seen on Friday night, police said.
The group left the village and returned home around 1am on Saturday, said the brother of two of the missing children.
The boys were described as healthy and around 10 years old, he added.
They are believed to have left the lake, about 1km (0.6 miles) inland, where they were staying with other people, to travel by foot or by bike to their hometown in Puducherry.
They were last heard from at about 7.30am, the police said, adding that the boys’ parents had been contacted.
Police are investigating the disappearance of the two boys.
