His son, Giancarlo, who owns a villas in Costa Rican town, El Pescadores, also passed.
He has also recently died.
There was no immediate word on the cause of his death.
The family had not yet announced his death or whether he would continue his work as a hotel manager.

David was shot on May 23, 2018, while on a routine trip to the resort of Villas Canaria, where he and his family were vacationing.
He died on Wednesday, the president’s office said.
He and his wife had two sons, two daughters, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
David died of heart failure at age 81, according for the Costa Rican newspaper La Estrella.
He owned the Costa Chico Hotel, a Costa Rican resort that is in the resort area, and was known for its upscale villas and other properties.
David had three children with his wife.
He married Cristina in 1982 and their first child was born in 1993.
He divorced her in 2005 and remarried her two years later.
He left the presidency to become a private citizen and eventually became a partner at the law firm of WilmerHale.
He worked for Costa Rica’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry from 2007 until 2011, when he stepped down after less than a year in office.
He continued to run his private business after he left the government, and in February, the government hired him as an adviser to help run the country’s new administration.
David has said he will not run for reelection.
Costa Rica has been plagued by economic woes for years, which contributed to the resignation of the president, Cristina Costa.
Costa has not held a second government job since he left office.
Costa was a strong leader in the country, which has been trying to find its feet after years of austerity and economic downturn.
He helped create the nation’s first national soccer team, and also helped lead the country into the World Cup.
He took office in 2000 and oversaw a rapid economic recovery.
He won re-election in 2006 and has served two terms in office, ending his first presidential term in 2018.
